Throughout Annette’s 30 year painting career, she has explored many media, but her current work is created with a layering technique in acrylics on paper and canvas. She has an interest in surface space and texture, which results in work which is intuitive, complex and mysterious. Her paintings have been exhibited in local, regional and national shows, winning many awards. Her work is included in corporate and private collections in the U.S. and abroad.

Somewhere – Acrylic on paper, one of a series of paintings I have done which I call abstract landscapes.

Springing Forth – Acrylic on paper, another of my abstract landscapes, this one with the feel of rushing water over rocks.

Trio – Acrylic on paper, the trio in this painting is three white leaves. This was painted for a two person show which had a nature them.

Artifacts – Acrylic and collage on paper, much surface texture in this painting from incorporating wrinkled tissue paper, which was then painted over. Another in my abstract landscape series.

Artifacts – Acrylic on paper, a continuing interest of mine is the marks people make, which began with a trip to the southwest and observations of rock petroglyphs. I carved some stamps and made my own marks in this painting with them.
