Jennifer A. Nancarrow, Attorney
Jennifer knows a lot about children and parents. First of all, she’s the mother of two children under the age of four. Second, she taught middle school social studies for three years. Third, she represented parents and children in child welfare cases in Portland, Oregon.
This involved working with parents who suffered from a wide variety of mental health issues from drug addiction to manic depression to psychopathy. On a daily basis, Jennifer advocated for these parents so that they could receive the help they needed and eventually regain physical custody of their children. In the process, she had to negotiate with mental health care providers and community social workers, so she certainly knows her stuff when it comes to helping people reach an agreement. She uses these consummate skills to make the divorce or custody process go as smoothly as possible for her clients.
But that isn’t all! Jennifer also worked at the Oregon School Board’s Association as a policy specialist, meeting with superintendents and school boards to advise them in policy matters affecting their school districts. She even wrote policy and led seminars to educate school district personnel about legal issues. We told you she knows a lot about children and parents!
Then again, Jennifer knows a lot about a lot. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Lewis and Clark College, and a Juris Doctorate from Willamette College of Law. (You’re impressed, right?)
But lest you think Jennifer is all about work, she also makes jewelry and once completed the relay race, Hood to Coast, which starts at Mount Hood and ends at Seaside, Oregon. She’s a good singer and can write with the toes of her right foot (you never know when that might come in … uh … handy.) Perhaps her biggest obsession, though, is the television show, 24. She is so devoted to Jack Bauer that she calls the show “Jackie B.” But don’t tell her we told you.
