Kathleen Putiri

Kathleen can turn any story into an anecdote, so ask her about the time she went to Iceland for a weekend. She loves to travel and is planning to visit Israel next, but she especially loves outdoor locations like beaches, mountains, national forests, and the Caribbean.

The call of travel aside, it was the call of family law that Kathleen couldn’t deny. She loves what she does so much, in fact, that she has been known to whistle while she works.

A native of Asheville, she received an undergraduate degree in political science from Appalachian State University in Boone. Then, she went on to obtain her law degree from Campbell University in Raleigh, where she was active in Women in Law, won a book award, and served as Vice Dean of Delta Theta Phi legal society.

In her spare time, Kathleen stays involved in the community as secretary of Wake Women Attorneys, treasurer of Wake County Bar Association (WCBA) Young Laywer’s Division, and member of the WCBA social committee. Otherwise, you might find her grilling by the pool (she’s known for her shrimp kabobs) while listening to bluegrass music like Yonder Mountain String Band, Punch Brothers, Steep Canyon Rangers, or her all-time favorite rock band, Widespread Panic. Or you might find her playing a board game, trying a do-it-yourself project, or reading a crime novel.

After law school, Kathleen opened her own law firm which focused on both real estate law and family law, but she became firmly committed to family law once she immersed herself in the practice. Now at Rosen, Kathleen brings fierce litigation skills, along with an ability to compassionately counsel her clients through one of the hardest times in their lives. She says her commitment to family law offers her the rewarding opportunity to truly help people who find themselves in tough situations.
