Kristin Stroud
Kristin won so many accolades while in college and law school that we can’t even name them all. She was a Wade Edwards Memorial Scholar, a National Collegiate Scholar, won the 3rd Best Brief award in the Brooklyn Law School Evidence Competition, won Best Overall and Oral Argument in the Clifton Johnson Competition, won a PARADE Magazine Travel Writers Scholarship, and on and on. She did all of this while earning her B.S. degree in Business from UNC Chapel Hill and her J.D. degree from North Carolina Central University.
But don’t get the wrong impression. Kristin isn’t all work and no play. Outside of the office, she’s an active type. She loves to go horseback riding and backpacking, and when it comes to basketball, you might find her on the court or in the stands. She loves to both play the game and watch others play. In fact, she’s into all Atlantic Coast Conference sports.
Also a little bit on the quirky side, Kristin’s favorite television show is the long-gone “Dallas.” (Don’t tell anyone, but she’s seen every episode twice.) And if you ever want to give Kristin a gift, you can get her pumpkin “anything.” She likes pumpkin beer, pumpkin coffee, pumpkin candles, pumpkin shampoo – you name it.
Besides her work ethic and her colorful personality, Kristin also loves to give back to the community. She has worked as a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Coordinator and has been involved with the Civil Litigation Clinic, the Raleigh Jaycees (as legal counsel), and the Cleft Lip & Palate Foundation.
