Rosen Law Firm

Barbara Honeycutt, Paralegal

Barbara Honeycutt

You might call Barbara our own "American Idol." Well, she's certainly talented, and she has a connection to American Idol. Her first job was as an after school counselor at the YMCA, and Clay Aiken was her supervisor. She has also babysat the children of famous politicians (although she's not saying which ones.)

When we say that Barbara is our "American Idol," we're only partially kidding. She was on the National Deans List while at Carteret Community College and received an A.A.S. degree in Paralegal Technology. In 2002, she was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for two-year colleges. Plus, she had perfect attendance from kindergarten through twelfth grade! So, don't be surprised if you see her every single time you're in the office.

Prior to joining Rosen, Barbara interned at the Department of Social Services in Jacksonville, and she previously worked in Social Security disability, personal injury, and immigration law.

Barbara is also a swimmer. Well, that's an understatement. She swam professionally for 15 years and placed fourth in Wake County at the age of 14. In other words, if you ever see her at a pool, you'll probably be impressed. This accomplishment is probably due to Barbara's well-known drive to succeed. Nothing stops her when she sets her sights on something, and she isn't afraid to try new things.

Even with all of her achievements as a swimmer, however, there's one swimming-related experience that Barbara still hopes to have "before she dies" - a swim with dolphins!
