Erin Clarey, Attorney

Erin Clarey

Sure, Erin has impressive academic qualifications to practice family law, but nothing compares to the recent trip she took to Ireland with her entire family – parents, brother, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She even got lost with them in the Irish countryside called the "Burren" and lived to tell the tale. Despite this experience, she still visits her family regularly in Charleston, South Carolina. Now, that's family devotion!

Her ability to handle family issues even extends to her pets, which are both rescue animals. She has both a cat and a dog, and they get along like … well, cats and dogs. Ally, the dog, refuses to go on walks for fear of leaving Maggie the cat with the run of the house. But Erin is hardly new to being around animals. While in law school, she lived in a barn on a farm, surrounded by cows, chickens, and goats.

People say that Erin is a great listener, as well as one of the most compassionate people on earth. While she's naturally empathetic, she has the training to back it up. Her undergraduate work began to prepare her for family law even before she received her J.D. degree from Campbell University. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina, where she was on the National Dean's List, a member of the Psi Chi National Honor Society, and was named to Who's Who of American College Students.

Erin garnered awards while in law school and served as a Case Summary Writer for the Campbell Law Observer. During school, she also worked as a law clerk for Mast, Schultz, Mast, Mills, Johnson and Wells, P.A. in Smithfield.

It's certainly no secret that someone named Erin Clarey is of Irish descent, but she believes her intense love of French fries comes from her blood link to potatoes. Erin can eat an entire meal of French fries, which she sometimes enjoys while watching baseball or a Gamecock football game.
