Rex Healthcare

Rex Hospital’s main campus is located near the North Carolina State Fairgrounds, and the North Carolina Museum of Art, at the intersection of Lake Boone Trail and Blue Ridge Road. It is easily accessible from I-40, I-440, and Wade Avenue. Rex has dozens of other healthcare centers in the Raleigh area.

WakeMed Health and Hospitals

WakeMed’s main hospital is located near downtown Raleigh, off of New Bern Avenue, and they have satellite offices in a dozen locations in and around Raleigh. The main hospital is a large facility, boasting 870 beds and offering many services including cardiac rehab, heart and vascular, neurosciences, and concussion services among many others.

WakeMed also offers a wide variety of health education classes, seminars, screenings, and community events. They offer support groups for many people, including but not limited to amputees, those with brain injuries, spinal chord injuries, and those who have suffered a stroke. Duke Health

Duke Hospital is probably the most well-known hospital system in the area. The main campus is an award-winning medical facility that also serves as an academic hospital and is located in Durham, on North Roxboro Road. It has even been named one of the nation’s top hospitals by U.S. News and World Report.

The services offered at Duke Hospital and it’s affiliate locations are too many too list, and people travel from all over the country to seek medical attention at Duke. Quite notably, Duke boasts an extensive list of clinical trials, where patients can gain access to new research treatments before they are widely available. Clinical trials are available to those struggling with breast cancer, lung cancer, ADHD, heart failure, infectious disease, and AIDS to name a few.
