Ashley Watson, Life Story

“I am back on my feet, and I see a great future.”

After a 10 year marriage that produced two children, 32-year-old Ashley Watson separated from her husband because of his continued substance abuse. She turned to the Rosen Law Firm for financial protection of her children and herself. “I was afraid that I might not be able to support my kids, and I wanted to stay in our house.”

After attending a Rosen Law Firm divorce seminar at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Raleigh, Ashley contacted the firm. She was immediately comfortable with her Rosen attorney and is especially appreciative that she was treated with respect and professionalism from the first meeting. “My attorney explained everything in lay terms,” she says, “and made sure that I understood [what was discussed].”

Rosen fees were discussed during her initial consultation, including costs for a separation agreement and also fees if her case went to court. She says, “The fees were very reasonable.” And she knew up front what her divorce would cost, what the money would cover in both best and worst case scenarios. “I managed to pay my other bills knowing up front what I would spend on legal fees,” she relates.

In describing the firm, Ashley says, “They [Rosen Law Firm] were for me. They were on my side.” She always knew exactly how her case was progressing, and she received copies of everything. Although her case ended up in court, she received a favorable settlement. “The Rosen Law Firm was professional, and they did everything they said they would do.”

Today, Ashley describes herself as doing well financially. She says, “I am back on my feet, and I see a great future for my kids and myself.”
