North Carolina Divorce Site Overview Transcript

Welcome to North Carolina Divorce. I’m Lee Rosen. Congratulations for visiting the site. I’m impressed that you’re taking the time and putting the energy into being proactive and to learning about the things that you can do to deal with your situation.

When we’re faced with something traumatic like a divorce or a separation, it’s so easy to stick our heads in the sand and to ignore what’s happening around us. You’re not doing that. You’re taking the time to figure out what to do and how to do it. You really deserve congratulations for taking that step.

I want to be a part of helping you manage your situation. At the end of this short video I’m going to give you my direct phone number and my e-mail address, and I want to hear from you if you need anything at all.

Here’s what I’ve done to make it easy for you to figure out everything you need to know about divorce. I’ve set up here on the site seven centers or sections, one for each of the important topics. You’re going to find a center on divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, property division, domestic violence, and mediation. The mediation center also covers arbitration and collaborative divorce.

Each one of these sections is comprehensive. When you visit one of them, you’re going to find answers to your questions. There’s an FAQ section. You’ll also find articles about the topic, videos about the topic, audios, podcasts, and you’re also going to find the statutes and forms. Everything you need is going to be found in each of the centers for whatever topic it is that you’re worried about or curious about.

When you visit each center, you’re going to learn a lot about each area, but here’s what’s going to happen. You’re going to have questions that don’t get answered by the material on the site. It’s inevitable.

Here’s what we can do and how we can help. When you have a question, there are several places that you can go and get an answer. First of all, there’s the forum here on the site. You’re going to find links all over the site to the forum. Thousands of people have been to the forum before and posted questions, and our lawyers have answered them.

So you’re going to find the forum is useful in a couple of ways. First, you can go there and search it to find answers that are already there to your questions. Secondly, you can just go ahead and post your questions. You can go ahead and put up there what it is you need to know, and a lawyer from our firm will go ahead and provide you with an answer.

Now, what you’re also going to see happen on the forum when you post a question is that other people, not lawyers, just folks that visit the site on a regular basis, may also provide answers. What’s interesting about that is that these are people that have been through it before.

Sometimes their advice, while it may not be a legal answer, may be as useful or more useful than what you’ll get from the lawyers. I really think you will appreciate hearing from those that have experienced what you are going through or what you’re about to go through.

So the forum will be the first important place you can go to get your questions answered. The second thing you can do is come to one of our seminars. We do these seminars every week at locations all around The Triangle. Hopefully, your schedule will work for you to come to one of those seminars. I think you’ll get a lot out of it.

Finally, we have an online radio show. You can use that show to call in, ask your question, and a lawyer will answer it for you. You’ll see links here on the site to the radio show. I think you’ll find it very valuable to call in, talk one on one with a lawyer, and get those questions answered.

I also think that you’ll find that the site answers a tremendous number of your questions, but you’re going to stumble across things where there just isn’t an answer, or for whatever reason, your needs aren’t met, or you can’t figure out how to apply the law to the facts of your situation.

When that happens, turn to the forum, turn to the seminars, turn to the Internet radio show, and visit us at all of those places. But if you need other help, if you find that there are things where you’re just not getting the answers you need, call me directly. Call me at 919-787-6667 or e-mail me at rosen@rosen.com.

Finally, I want to say it again. Congratulations on taking action, on doing something about your situation, on getting your head out of the sand and being proactive. It really is tough to deal with what you’re dealing with, with all of the emotion that comes along with that. I’m impressed that you’re doing what you need to do to take care of you, and to take care of your family, and to take care of your children, and to make sure that all of you come through this in a way that really works for you and for the people that you love.

I hope that we’ve done everything we can for you on the site, but if not I really do expect to hear from you. I’m glad you were able to find the site and to find the information, and I look forward to working with you as we move through this process.
