Sarah was brought on to help us with Marketing as it’s clearly one of the things she does best. From her position as Marketing Manager for the Durham Performing Arts Center to acting as a Marketing Specialist at Desire Wellness, she has a lot of versatility when it comes to getting the word out about something. Now we’ve happily enlisted her to inform people about her services. If you’re reading this page, chances are it’s because she somehow brought you here.
Her hard work and dedication started in the classroom. Sarah graduated cum laude (and a year early!) from UNC Greensboro with a bachelors in Arts Administration and minors in Music, Business, and Entrepreneurship. During her time at UNCG, she was a University Marshall and won the Provost Student Excellence Award. In addition to those already great accomplishments, she was also the president of Mu Phi Epsilon, her music fraternity, and was on the Dean’s List every semester. Any one of these accomplishments would have caught our eye, so it’s clear that we’re spoiled by her presence.
This may be her first job in the legal field, but her professional experience has well prepared her for it. When working at DPAC, she first interned on their marketing team before being promoted to a full time position, publicizing their concerts and comedy shows. She helped place radio ads, planned budgets, collaborated with influencers, and even got to work behind the scenes where she met some of the artists (one of her favorites being the Tedeschi Trucks Band). We now put her to work doing similar things for us, promoting stories that impact families like yours to local news and blogs and helping us create resources for
Sarah is kind and compassionate when it comes to her work, so it’s only natural that she would give her gifts to those in need as well. She formerly volunteered with the Greensboro Working-Class and Houseless Organizing Alliance, a mutual aid organization that provided food and other resources to the unhoused in downtown Raleigh. Now that she resides in Durham, her volunteering has turned local too, giving her time to assist at the Durham County Library.
When she’s finally taking a break, she indulges in the simple things. She recently crotched a blanket for her grandma and still loves to sing when she can, still in touch with the music she pursued in college. She also loves hanging out with her cat and her plants, all very happy to have her for a mother.
Overall, Sarah is a determined self-starter passionate about providing people with the resources they need and finding ways to get family law knowledge to the masses. We are honored to have her on the team and, if you see her around the office working on a new project or assisting you, we know you’ll feel the same way.
