At Rosen Law Firm, we believe that strong family law representation starts with educating others. That is why we are proud to congratulate Firm President Lisa Angel for being featured as a speaker at the 2026 North Carolina Family Law Specialization Exam Review, presenting on the topic of marriage law.
Preparing Attorneys for Board Certification in Family Law
Held on August 28, 2026, and hosted by the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the exam review program is designed to help family law attorneys across the state prepare for the Family Law Board Certification Exam. Board Certification through the North Carolina State Bar is one of the highest marks of distinction a family law attorney can earn, and this review walks candidates through the core subject areas of family law that will appear on the exam.
The program is offered entirely online, making it accessible to family law attorneys throughout North Carolina. Sessions also qualify for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit approved by the North Carolina State Bar.
Lisa Angel’s Marriage Law Presentation
As the speaker for the marriage law portion of the review, Lisa covered the laws that govern how marriages are formed and dissolved in North Carolina, as well as the law regarding interference by outside third-parties. These topics included:
- Divorce
- Annulment
- Divorce from bed and board
- Alienation of affection
- Criminal conversation
These are some of the most nuanced and frequently misunderstood areas of North Carolina family law, and Lisa’s presentation gave attorneys a clear, practical foundation for understanding them both on exam day and in their daily practice.
